Preschool Halloween Party

I was Captain Alphabet. It was a lot of fun to make up my own super hero. It was even more fun when the kids would find the letters in their name.
I made the cape out of an old t-shirt of Andrews (I've never seen him wear it the whole time we've been married), and my mask out of a piece of felt that I had. So simple but fun. On my shirt I just put every letter in the primary colors and a silver glitter. Tada!  Captain Alphabet was discovered. It was so easy and it was fun being crafty.

Halloween Festivities

On Thursday we carved pumpkins with Mitch and Kendra. Their pumpkin turned out so cute. Owen sat still while they traced his hands and feet. Andrew, like always, did a sports pumpkin. I helped him gut it and carve it. He free handed it which was quite impressive. Owen liked the pumpkin guts. He even tried to eat them... then wasn't as much of a fan.

One day I will remember to take more pictures. Owen actually kept his hood on for the most part. I think he is a dragon (it has wings). The people at the trunk or treat said he was a cute dinosaur or alligator. Either way he was pretty cute. When we first put on his costume he even growled but of course when we tried to record it he would just stare at us. His favorite trick or treat item was a tooth brush. What a silly kid. He loved the pumpkins and would try to pick them up. He isn't quite strong enough for most of them but he tried.

I made Owen's goodie bag. It was cute and so easy. I took about 5 minutes. I took a cereal box and wrapped it in black butcher paper I had lying around. Then I made eyes out of duct tape, and cut out a mouth from construction paper. I drew on teeth and glued everything on the box. I cut a hole on each side of the box, found some ribbon and threaded it threw and tied it in a not. Easy peasy and cute!

Mary Kay

I have decided to sell Mary Kay. It was kind of an impulse decision but it will be good for us. Andrew probably thinks I'm crazy. I'm doing it as a hobby so if you ever need any make up or skin care products you know where to find me. I would love to be your consultant and hook you up. I'm thinking this will be a fun opportunity to meet new people and help them feel pretty in their own skin and help enhance what they already have.

Fall Festival

We went to the fall festival at the pumpkin patch. There was a hay ride, pumpkin cannon, a little fairy tale forest, a corn kernel "sand" box and of course, the pumpkin patch. Owen had fun wandering everywhere. Andrew's favorite part was the pumpkin cannon. I thought the fairy tale forest was so cute. There was the 3 little pigs houses, the 3 bears house and little red ridding hood's grandmothers house.

Photo Shoot

My friend Erin took pictures of Owen on his birthday. We went to the park and it was perfect because there were leaves for him to play with. She had a cute little wagon and some balloons for him to explore.

12 Month Appointment

Owen is healthy and growing!

He weighs 18 lbs and 5 oz. That puts him in the 10th percentile
He is 30 inches tall putting him in the 57th percentile

Owen at One

Owen favorite food is fruit, especially oranges, blackberries, pears, and apples. While the tree outside had apples on it Owen would eat one everyday. I would take one bite and he would eat the rest, a lot of times eating it all the way to the core. He also really likes pancakes and goldfish.

Owen likes to play with blocks, books and cars.

Owen enjoys dancing to pretty much any kind of music and being outside. He will often bring me my shoes and cry at the door.

Owen has 4 teeth.

When he is ready for bed he will bring me his blanket.

Owen is a bundle of energy and always moving!
