Beauty Salon

This last week Haley was telling me how she can never get her hair to curl.  I told her that I bet I could do it because I've finally figured out how to curl my hair and get it to hold without half a can of hairspray. So I sectioned her hair into 3 and tried to work my magic. Not only did it curl, but she was able to wear it to work the next day. It took me less than 20 minutes which is the best part. 

Then I let it cool down and had her run her fingers through it so it wasn't so tight.

I also painted my fingernails while Owen took a nap. I was happy and surprised with the results. 

Explosion

Why is it that when I put Owen in a white shirt he poops through it? That's exactly what happened a few days ago. It was so bad that we changed him in the bathtub so it didn't get anywhere else.

The Start of Real Food

I have been feeding Owen rice cereal and purred fruits and carrots for about the last 3 weeks. I ordered a chair for him and it makes it a lot easier than putting him in the corner of the couch and propping him up or having Andrew hold him while I tried to feed him. He really likes it and I think its because he knows he is getting fed. He is a really good eater and most of the time eats all that I give him. He isn't a fan of bananas. I think its a texture thing. He likes to help by holding the spoon once it is close enough.

5 Months Old

This was the only picture that kind of had a smile.

• Owen likes to make noises. If we make the same noise back to him he will do it again. It's a fun little game that can last for a while if he is in the mood.
• He is going through a not sleeping much at night stage which isn't my favorite.
• He rolls all over. He lays on his stomach and tries to scoot but isn't very successful. We will keep practicing. It makes his so mad that he cant move forward. He has figured out how to roll and turn so he can go where he wants. That means I need to start baby proofing the house.
• He can sit by himself for a  few seconds before he folds in half and rolls.
• He loves being outside. If he is a little fussy, I will open the door and stand outside for a few minutes. He normally cheers right up once I open the door.
•  Owen puts everything in his mouth and chews on anything he can.
